We seen this buck last year let him walk he's back this year a little bit wider.I say he is about 4.5 years old my buddy thinks he is 6.5 what yhall think??

I think he's a really nice buck, but i don't know about 6.5. I would guess 5.5 at most.

Does the wire around the base of the poles act as a good deterant?

I put the wire on the poles to try to keep the pigs from rubbing on them and pushing feeders over..Didnt work they used it as a scrathing post.The pannels worked...
