Big Ole Snake
Category: Nature

Big un. Not sure if true or not, but here is the story that came with it..

This snake was shot by a police officer in Manor yesterday. It was shot in the backyard of a house in the middle of a big neighborhood (not near any woods, fields, etc.). The woman’s four children were playing in the yard at the time when they heard the rattle.

Be careful when you’re out in your yard! Snakes are looking for water and going into areas where you don’t traditionally see them.

Looks like it ate a cat or a rabbit or something, IF it is real.  What city was this supposed to have been in?

Man, this is about the 5th huge rattler picture I have seen this year. The snakes have certainly been more active, or at least, been noticed more. Taken a couple in my property where we hadn't seen any in quite a while.

Looks like a rattler to me. I have seen a number of them at apx that size in West Texas, and he is definantly well fed. I have heard several people tell me that they have seen more snakes this year.

Seeing and hear about all these snakes sure makes the souting season sound adventurous!

Missing the family cat? Yeah i walked across about a four ft. rattler right off the trail and it didn't rattle once. Took me a couple of steps to realize what i just passed. Just let it be, didn't mess with it.

Looks like it would make some good boots or a belt, fry up the meat!!!
