South Texas Tarantula
Category: Nature Tarantula spider I came across while building a ground blind one afternoon in south Texas. Took pictures and placed her back under the mesquite log.

That does appear to be a large specimen. Better to see it and deal with it than wake up with it in your sleeping bag.....even if it is not "poisonous".
