Texas fishing Lake Conroe TexasWritten on: 02/19/2007 11:27 by: E.TX.BOWHUNTER
My grandson (Texas) who is only 3 spent the other weekend with me. He is still begging to go deer hunting but he has to settle for fishing now. Saturday we loaded the paddle boat and headed out into the creek at the front if the cove. He dropped the worm right where I told him to and a bass grabbed it before it touched the bottom. He came tight and reeled the small fish in. After 5 minutes of no more fish he was ready to go. He has not developed patience yet. He wanted to paddle all the way back by himself. The boy can't reach the peddals so he uses his hands and cranks. It's a graet speed to fish. I fished the next 20 minutes heading back. I got 1 bite from a six pounder whiched jumped off at the edge of the boat. This soaked my grandson who was laughing hysterically. The next day we went to where I lost the good fish the day before. My grandson comes tight on a fish again that just about tires him out. He finally scoots the fish to me where I can lip him. We take another picture and put the fish back. He does not believe in keeping any fish and he has not learned to lip a bass yet. He asks me Grand Pappy if we can go home now but informs me it's my turn to paddle back. He is too tired. I can't wait until next time!
