First sunny afternoon in a while and I just couldn't resist getting into the blind with the still camera.

Had been there for about 25 minutes when this gorgeous 4 year old decided to come for a visit. His tines actually lean forward quite a bit, making them appear shorter than they are. Gotta love the matching stickers on the outside of his main beams. The one on the left isn't broken, just curves around.

You want to talk about a buck that has recovered nicely since the rut...this guy is in top form. He eventually walked to within 15 steps of my ground blind...never had a clue that I was in his world.

Doesn't get much better than days like this for me.

That is one beautiful animal.

The only word I can think of to describe his coat is gorgeous.

jbr81900...I wish they did pose like that all the time.  A lot of blind & setup work and time in the field.   Think of bowhunting, but with more precision.  Oh, and by the way, blind luck helps too.

I'll send more when my website, www.hardyjackson.com is up in around a month.

Very nice deer.  I have lots of video footage of deer but would love to have some good still photos like this.
