This was a 10 acre, yes I said ten acre, pond on the back side of Waldorf Md. We walked a canoe back through a half mile of woods no other access to this pond swamp on the lower side it is part of an old pit edge too low even to mine gravel out of. About a half mile of paddling through the swamp area and the pond develops.

This pond had so many big fish it was like every other cast had a big one every cast had at least a small one or one that would throw the hook or one that would just get a taste and mess with your bait. Eric was in rare form with a speed limit of 35 fish not counting the ones below 15 inches that were not counted and the ones that got off. I was second with a total of 18 and that did not include the ones under 15 or the ones that spit the hook. P.A., Paul Albert, brought up the rear with his mouth still flapping as much as the fish we caught with a total of 14 not including all the fish that got away twice as many as he caught at least and many he claims were just out to tangle him up and give him a hard time because he had had his way with them other time and they remember still what he looks like because he did not give them enough time to forget between visiting the pond. Eric was trying top convince P.A. to use one of his pink colored rubber worms like the color of bubble gum and was saying as the fish was mouthing the worm along side the boat, " P.A.

another satisfied customer look Mr. Bass what do you think of the double bubble trouble flavor of my double bubble gum yum yum bubble gum, Look P.A. he is saying yum yum this is good gum may I have some more please sir please, please please ". I almost split a side laughing so hard. I could not catch my breath and was begging Eric to stop tormenting P.A., with the dumb dumb bubble gum bait it's just so yum yum. P.A. refused to use the pink on his hook he was stubborn to the end but after Eric passed the count of 20 MPH fishing speed limit P.A. said O.K. give me a Bubble gum colored plastic worm. He threw it once and then took it off having little faith in something so obviously fake to what P.A. saw as reality. He said these fish must be cousins to the ones behind the Movie Theater pond where you had been fishing and they missed the candy that floated down the drains to the pond from the theater and they were just very homesick. I was using a bubble gum colored rubber worm and had tried to set the hook and the line had broken off and was begging Eric to give me another one of his bubble gum colored worms because I had just lost mine he didn't believe it was a fish I had lost my worm on. Then on his next cast he hung a big one with his Bubble gum colored rubber worm brought it in and it had my Bubble gum colored worm plus his Bubble gum colored worm hanging out of his mouth and he said to P.A. look P.A. they just cant get enough. This fish already had one worm and wanted another. Eric flipped me my worm and said her's your worm back now don't loose it again, I am running out. The fish are tearing these things up. And they were.
