Mens weekend, aka the Doe Slaughter, aka The meeting of the Texas Doe Hunters Assoc., took place twice in January this year.

In other words, we were culling does at the ranch and did a lot of shooting.  The ranch record still stands from last year for distance which was 631yds with a .264win mag, set by Andy Harris.

I set the record for shortest distance this year at 10yds with a .45acp.  I was in a bow blind right above her...she dropped like a load of hammers.  We did a lot of shooting ate fine food and drank a little in the evening hours.

I'd like to thank all who attended and help thin the herd a little.  Leigh, Don, Byron, Jim, Randle, Robert, Andy, Garrett and Mr. Birdwell.  Also, thanks to Russell, Kitty and Tim for everything.  Anytime you need help the Texas Doe Hunters Assoc, will be there.

The ranch is  free from the oppression of the does! TITS UP!!!....        You sort of had to be there for that.

I was introduced to hunting on a similiar doe hunting adventure on a large ranch that needed some does to be removed.  On my first ever deer hunt I shot 4 does and that is a memory I will never forget.  My favorite part of the hunt was driving around with the Ranch Owner (Marty Berry) and watching him take head shots at unlucky does who came across his path, it thought it was the coolest thing ever.
