I met John Schwarzlose fresh out of Texas A&M eager to show the world what he learned in school about being a Wildlife Biologist.

You can look under our "Wildlife Resources" section for articles he has written about food plots for Dove, Turkey, and Whitetail.

The purpose of this sequence of photos is to show you the Before, During and After phase of setting up a food plot dedicated to birds. As you scroll through the photos you see a hay field, then you see it in stages being prepared, and then you see a Happy Dove Plot. I didn't have the heart to photo the dead plot, I just mowed it down.

Sadly, with lack of rain after the plants took root, there was barely anything left when Dove Season came around. However, it sure did look pretty while it lasted and I was convinced that every dove in Houston County was coming my way for Opening Day.

If ever you are in need of an eager, intelligent, hard working, and interesting to talk with Wildlife Biologist, give John a call or visit his website, www.TexLaWildlife.com.

You do a dove plot correctly, and it pays off big.
