Memorial Weekend Fishing with FamilyWritten on: 05/27/2008 21:55 by: Chris Weidner
As much as I love the outdoors, I also love air conditioning and sleep. While I've enjoyed a steady stream of recycled air recently, it's that sleep department I'm missing out on the most. So when I went out to my folks ranch for Memorial weekend it was pretty dang tempting to play catch-up on the ZZZ's and roll over on the outdoor activity. Thankfully, I chose to continue to my sleep deprevation trend and enjoy the beautiful weekend outside. Between the 3 of us we caught nearly 30 fish. (Crappie, Bass and Catfish) No real keepers but it was a blast fishing on a couple of small tanks and a creek I'd never had the chance to fish before. There are just so many places on our land that I've never been we try to hit up a new spot everytime we go out. Beyond the fun of finding a new watering hole, it was a great time to do some family bonding and get a little sun. Fishing, Family, BBQ and the great outdoors...you really can't beat it! Can't wait for the 4th of July...those sunset photos I've attached to this article...that's where we're fishing next.

Great pics! So jealous I wasn't there this time - next time for sure! Even though I won't be fly fishing like the cool kids...
Yeah ya'll would have had a blast. But no worries. 4th of July? :) And we only did fly fishing the first day then restorted to spin rods and good ole fashioned worms.
