We started off the show by answering a question from someone who was looking for a particular kind of deer lease.  Then we took the remainder of the time to give tribute to a true mans man, a hunter, and one of the few remaining rugged individualists involved in today’s political system: General Land Commissioner of Texas, Jerry Patterson.  In previous shows we have questioned his intentions as far as the sale of the Christmas Mountains is concerned, but through recent investigation we have uncovered the kind of man Mr. Patterson truly is, and question his resolve no more.  Despite much opposition, Jerry Patterson has fought tooth and nail to make sure the Christmas Mountains remains open to public hunting.  Although things may not turn out that way, it isn’t due to a lack of effort on the behalf of this man who can most accurately be described as a Texan, in the truest since of the word.  Please listen to the files below to find out the things Mr. Patterson has said and done that make him worthy of such a distinction.
