The Blue Goose Hunting Club was established in 1954 and remains committed to offer a quality waterfowling experience to its clients. Blue Goose offers thousands of acres of land to provide a wide range of hunting options. You will hunt rice fields, soybeans, oats, wheat, corn, and milo, along with plowed grounds and laid out plots for geese utilizing the "whitespread" technique that we helped to establish. Hunt prairie ponds with permanent blinds for pintail, teal, widgeon, gadwall and the other puddle ducks that winter on the Texas Coast. Our diverse hunting habitat assures a quality hunt regardless of seasonal movements of waterfowl populations. At Blue Goose you will see the largest goose concentration in North America. Altair, Texas is the headquarters of the operation giving hunters easy access to us from US 59, Interstate 10, and Hiways 90A and 71. Our hunting grounds span 5 counties giving us the opportunity to move with the birds as they migrate across their wintering grounds. Qualtity Texas Goose and Duck Hunting Blue Goose lands winter thousands of waterfowl. Every season huge flocks of Snows, Blues, Specklebellies (whitefronts), Canadas, and Ross geese along with phenominal flights of ducks including Pintail, Teal, Widgeon, Gadwall, and other puddler and diving duck species flock here to feed. Our guides have one goal ... to make your hunting experience the hunt of a lifetime! Bring old friends and create new memories! Hunts consist of a 1/2 day (mornings only) guided hunt. Spreads, decoys, guide, and dogs provided. The following services are available at the club: breakfast, lunch, dinner, ammo (we are a Federal distributor), lodging, licenses and stamps, and bird processing. Hunters should bring all personal equipment (e.g. guns, waders, camo clothing, rain gear).
