Our history of Trophy Whitetail Bucks dates back to 1892 and the famed 78-point "Brady Buck", also called the "Benson Buck" by some. Our Whitetail Herd Management Program is designed to enhance these tremendous genetics for trophy racks. Our mature Bucks average 17 and 18 inch spreads and field dress average 108 lbs. Our hunting program is designed for success. If we want to harvest 100 bucks we book 100 hunters. Our average success rate is 97%. WE DO NOT OVER BOOK OR OVER HUNT You must call after dark to catch us at home. If you leave a message we can only return your calls after dark. Ford Ranch - WhitetailArea: McCulloch Preferred Customer: Any Acres: 32000 Amenities / Additional Info: Shelter on Property Additional InformationOverview: You are allowed to take one Trophy Buck and up to four doe OR one Trophy Buck, one Spike and three Doe - A total of 18 hunters are allowed per weekend. Food and lodging are provided and all hunts are guided. Each Guide has his own country. No one hunts in it but his hunters. He has 2 hunters per hunt. So he has to divide his time equally. ALL Guides know their Country and know how BEST to hunt it. You will have a Quality hunt, and a memorable experience. On ALL Hunts, Hunters arrive Friday afternoon, in time to use the gun range. Hunters Hunt Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, and are allowed to stay till Tuesday morning. Guides field dress, skin, and quarter all deer, placing the meat in clear plastic bags, and keeping them in a cooler kept at 34 degrees. Hunters must bring their own ice chest. A guide is insulted if he receives less than $300 per Trophy Buck killed for the weekend hunt. Many times a guide will receive $400-$500 per Trophy Buck for a weekend hunt. If you feel your guide does not deserve a tip, take the issue up with Ranch Manger Forrest Armke. ________________________________________________________ DOE HUNT You are allowed to take Does and Pencil horned spikes (NO CULLS, NO TROPHY BUCKS YOU WILL BE FINED) We do not provide Food or Lodging, HOWEVER we do allow camping, and a motel is only 15 miles away. It is a Semi guided Hunt. Using their own vehicles Hunters are lead by the guide into his country. He assigns a hunting location to each hunter. After each hunt the guide leads his hunters back to camp. (This is necessary for the Ranch is spread out over 50 square miles) Skin And Quartering and Field Dressing are available at these prices Skin and Quartering=$25 Field Dressing=$10 This is a Youth only hunt no adults are alowed to shoot. Only shooters who are 16 and under may hunt on this weekend. This is a two day hunt and Only Does and Spikes will be allowed. Make sure to take your kids to the range BEFORE getting here and get some practice in. Habitualy wounding animals will NOT be tolerated. Forrest Armke at the Ford Ranch will take care of you! I personally have taken trophy Rio Grande turkey and whitetail off this property. I also have rattled numerous big bucks during December on this ranch. I fabulous experience for any hunter. Call Forrest today.
