I can tell you that off of 59 and cold spring there is tons of rooting.  I go left on cold spring and take a left at the valero station.  Go  to Cutten road and take a left.  Go past the power line sandero to the last hunting trail on the right before the house at the dead end.  If you walk about 500-1000 yards down the trail there is a swampy area with wallows and rooting everywhere.  There are a few deer in the area but tons of hog sign.  Also if you go north on 149 past montgomery as soon as you go past the "sam houston national forest" welcome sign its either the 1st or 2nd hunting trail on the left.  It has a yellow gate on front of it.  There was lots of rooting and hog feces in that area.  Good luck. Let us know if you see anything.  I think mostly the hogs are nocturnal cause I have yet to see one since I have been deer hunting there.

Thanks for the info!  When you mention Cold Spring, are you refering to FM2020(Cold Spring Rd) that runs from Cleveland to Cold Spring?

hines creek road,on right side there is a palmetto flat bordered by private tree farm.Always a lot of hogs in there, dont mind the illegal feeders and stands from the hines creek hunt club from across the road. They just leave ugly notes on your windshield and claim youre crossing 3 feet of their property to reach the forest. And dont mind the democrats and the end of the road, she will hold your catch dog you lost and call the cops about "the dog fight vests and collar" that is on your dog.LMAO
