If you like extreme Bowhunting -Texas style , You'll love to hunting Amistad NRA.  Its not for deerfeeder hunters or ATV riders - Its hardcore barebones farechase bowhunting and extreme.  Located in Del Rio,Texas, on Lake Amistad.  I started hunting there and love it. Has anyone hunted in Amistad this year.

No, I have not hunted that place but I would like to. It's 60 miles from my companies ranch In Brackettville. I have scouted a small portion of it last year.

I hunted there maybe 20 years ago and it is a great place to hunt.  It is rugged, fair chase but there were a fair amount of deer there also.  We hunted Area #2 and #1 but only got a shot at one doe the two days we were there.  If you can spend some time there I am sure you could get a better feel for the place.  They have a web site in Del Rio with a lot of info on their web site.  Just look up Del Rio Bowhunters or try Amistad Bowhunters, etc.  I remember a lot of good information they are willing to share.  Seems like a great bunch of guys down there.

Hey guys its the best place in Texas for bowhunting. I went out there and had a great time,but its not for everyone. Its bare bones, fairchase extreme bowhunting that worth every minute.  I'll be back. check out the website first before going out there.  Amistadbowhunter.com
