I agree.  I suggest trappin them.  We didn't use feeders in WV, but we had coons always getting in our trash.  As a kid, it didn't cost me money, but it cost me time pickin' up trash scattered everywhere.  My dad acquired a Havahart trap and we disposed of several coons.  Once they got wise to the trap, my dad hooked up 220 Volts to a piece of metal on the aluminum steps where the trash cans were.  That worked too.  Good luck.

I did not read of any earmarks in the "stimulus package" for feeding coons...Times a wastin.
