Here is the local newspaper story, with photo, on a 203 class buck taken in Schackelford Co.  I didn't see the deer (aint that how internet legends go?) but know the game warden quoted in the story.  I do know the area some & the ranch is a cattle operation not a game ranch.

James,

I copied a picture of this buck from the site you referenced.  My guess is for a typical he won't go anywhere near 203, but he's still an incredible, incredible deer. Shackelford County is one of the best counties in Texas for producing record deer.  If I remember correctly (it may have been broken already) the current typical record is from there too.
