Hogs and Deer compatibility

I just got on a new lease this year, put out a feeder and have a lot of activity from Hogs.  What effect will these hogs have on deer coming to the feeder?  I have never hunted where there was so much hog activity and need to know if I should move my feeder.

Moving your feeder prob. won't change anything. the major problem is they eat all the corn up b4 the deer can get any. you can kill them at night. we try to kill one at a feeder and drag him off about 50yards. from it and let him bleed. It seems to not affect the deer but makes for less hog activity.

The only thing I've seen that works is start seriously thinning-out the hogs.  Moving the feeder won't help - the pigs will eventually find it again.  We've tried (inadvertently) what Colby did and it didn't work either.  Maybe we missed something on how to do it, but the pigs still came.

Your best solution would be to put up hog panels around the feeder to keep the hogs out. This is not always fool-proof but would be way more effective than just moving the feeder.

Hog panels is the way for sure and make your pen as big as youpossibly can. Round pen is the best. I am a hog guide and this is how I keep them out during Deer season. We have had hogs cost guys some big deer in the past. Moving the feeder will not work.

I have my feeder feed more at day break then at dusk. This way 'usually' lets the deer get at it in the morning due to hogs being much more nocturnal. I still feed about 1.5 or 2 hours before shooting time ends, now about 430-445pm, just not as much as in morning.

That's a problem i'd like to have. Hog's just more things to shoot at.
