Goose hunting is a blast, though really I've not done much of it either.  In Texas, some of the best hunting is along the coast, though there's some good hunting in North Texas or really anywhere along the flyways.  Basically the seasons are split east zone and west zone, and there's even a short 'Conservation Order' season with no bag limit where they even allow you to take the plug out of your shotgun and use electronic calling.  I've not done that, but understand the first day can really be something.

It was many, many years ago our goose lease was on the corner of Fry road (where home depot is) and IH-10. We had a huge group come in (10,000+). After 6 shots into that 1 group we had birds dead all over the ground. I won't say the number of birds but we were done hunting that day.
