A few months back, while I was home on leave, I was talking with my Dad. I decided that I was going to take him on a goose hunt this year. So for the past 2 or 3 months I have emailed a dozen or so goose hunt outfitters. So far I have heard back from one. They have some open dates but I would like some options. Seems to me that even if you were booked solid, that in the name of public relations you would at least answer the email and say so. He's really looking forward to us going hunting together, as am I. I never dreamed it would be this difficult to find somewhere to hunt. We were looking for a goose/duck package, but the guide that answered my email doesn't think they will have many ducks this year so we will probably go with a duck/pheasent hunt.  But I'm not to crazy about their all in one day hunt package. The ones I looked at that I liked had hunts that took place one evening then the next morning with lodging. But those are the ones that never answered my emails. If any of you have any outfitters that you could recomend, I would be truly grateful. Or if your an outfitter that I overlooked and haven't tried to contact yet, I would love to hear from you also.

Guns don't kill people....Its those pesky little bullets making lots of holes that all the blood leaks out of.

I've pitched these guys several times before, only because I have had great hunts with them.  Tejas Waterfowl guides Ruben and Danny are awesome.  http://tejash2ofowl.com/  They have AM goose and PM duck packages, but lodging and meals are on your own.  We usually just shack up in the Holiday Inn at Lubbock and head to the fields from there.  Good luck!
