Hello, Im new to this forum so hello!

Anyways, just wanted to give yall a little report on Choke Canyon from this past sunday, I fish choke alot!

We began fishing early morning as a storm was rolling in.  It was thundering, lightning, and raining very hard.  I dont mind rain but usually dont like to fish when lightning is striking the ground.  The wind was calm however!

Like I said, I dont like to fish in lightning conditions but we were catching bass on almost every cast.  It was crazy fun!  We were drenched and try to hold our poles low to the ground to avoid electric shock and catching nice bass!  Most of the fish were in the 2-3 lb range and the large fish went about 7 lbs, caught by my dad!'

We were catching them on a combo of zara spooks, senkos, and white spinnerbaits; but the white spinnerbaits were working best!  It was crazy how active the rain made the fish!  They were busting all over the surface and I witnessed several fish in the double digit range at the surface of the water!

The rain and fun lasted for about 2 hrs!  As soon as it stopped raining, we stopped catching fish.  Go figure!  I have encountered several similar occassion when rain has turned fish on like this.  However, it has to be raining with calm wind!

Good luck!  P.S.  If you are a hunter please check out my hog hunting add in the hog hunting section!

Do you have a website or any photos to post of past hunter success from hunting wild hogs?  Is that area near the "Whitepoint" location?
