TROPHY_HUNTER

I have a three year old PSE Fire Flight 60 lbs draw that I got from my brother.  Will this be enough bow if i can shoot decent with it?  I am new to deer hunting both rifle and bow.  i have hunted with a rifle for well this will be my second year and what more season so I thought i would try my hand at it but as inexpensive as i could by getting a handmedown first to see if i like it firstbefore i invest a lot into it.  The string is busted so i will have it set up for me next week.  Just want you opinions.

Thanks
Moss

Yes, you will be fine. My brother is shooting at 55lbs and gets full pass-through. You must miss the shoulder for that to happen. Good luck and enjoy your close encounters of the deer kind.

That will be plenty of bow , I would recomend a 125 grain cut on contact broadhead for a little more energy on impact.

You have enough bow to do the job quite well.  The key is shot placement of course.  Get ready for a different level of hunting excitement.  BTW:  I would venture to guess that 90% of deer taken with a bow are taken at between 10 and 25 yards.  hint, hint.  Practice a lot and get them muscles accustomed to pulling your bow.

The law use to be 40 lbs draw. Now it is zero. I agree with all the advice above, your equipment is fine. Placement under pressure, on location, in the moment, is the issue.
