spent grain?

I used to own a bike shop and they had a local brewer out  for a tasting this evening
got to talking with the guy and have scored free spent grain, lots of it!
he say's it's loaded with protein and they have had farmers using it and a hunter who said wild hogs go crazy for it

anyone ever use this stuff?

is it the same basically as distillers grain? i received some leftovers from the ethanol plants and fed to my cattle and they liked it. it smelled like cereal.
