Just curious Lamar, with these trough feeders, do you have much loss due to rain? I know the coons will enjoy the picnic all the time. I have some 1st. place prize winners, fat on corn and protein as well.

Well not really a loss of protein. We will fill them up as needed of course but we do not fill them up with much feed each time. Being that this is a working cattle ranch, there are laots of cowboys around the pastures to check and refill. And we have such a high number of deer, which we raised the numbers a few yars ago with the understanding that the pastures could handle the extra traffic and we would make the comitment to take care of them in tough times, they eat it fast enough that there is not much loss. Now during good weather times they will not eat as much, but that also means they are not eatting much because they are eatting God's stuff in the brush and getting most of what they need, and food plots of course....
