You can shoot these in public waters. What this page is talking about is the stocked Triploid Grass Carp that TPWD is releasing. My step son shoots them all the time and holds several records at TPWD.  So, if your on a public lake or river, SHOOT!

Not allowed to shoot any here in Florida. We have those Triploid Grass Carp too, but they actually stick those in public waters here.

I talked to the Game Warden for Lake Conroe last year.  He confirmed you can't shoot them on Lake Conroe...
