Has anybody here done any deer hunting on the somerville WMA?  Was wondering if it was worth the effort for archery season before I drove up to do some scouting.  Any info is appreciated, thanks.

I bow hunted there when I was in College.  I shot one doe in 2 yrs. of hunting there.  Many deer hunters and duck hunters walking around and I found one hunter in my tree-stand I set up the night before and he refused to leave.  Duck hunting is good when there is water in the ponds.  I wouldn't hunt on weekends, just too crowded but it is worth your time on weekdays.

I have only hunted there in Gun Season on Drawn hunts and there where lots of deer.  But everything depends on what day you are out there.  Try to avoid the weekend and you should see more deer.
