Just got off the phone with our ranch owner, the ranch got over 2 inches of rain out there and the possibility of some more over the next couple of days.  May not be a drought buster but at least it is a relief and a well timed rain for some spring growth.  This is in North part of Edwards County.

Thank God...it came at the right time too.  Hopefully this (and a little bit more) will help fawn survival as well.

We got between 1"-2" at our place south of San Angelo.  Will talk to the landowner next week.

Talked to Dad and he only got about 1/2 inch in San Angelo. We hope that we got more at our lease between Ozona and Barnhart. The last time I was there, the dust would just hang in the air. We need the rain badly.

Well that did not come out very clear.  That is the accumulated rainfall estimate for March 6 to March 13.  You can view at:

our ranch got around 2.5 inches before today. we are between rocksprings and sonora and roosevelt in that triangle. it was really bad before this. the deer were still looking good, but the axis were getting poor. lcra has a spot on their website called hydromet something and it will let you see real time rain and temperature in the southwest area which goes all the way to el dorado.

Ken, I used the web-site you have listed, and I sure hope that it is even close to correct. Shows that our place got between 3-4 in. of rain over the past few days. We sure needed it. THANKS

William, that site is usually pretty accurate. I spoke with our landowner out there yesterday and he confirmed 2.5" had fallen. We are located in the NW corner of Edwards County. Also in talking with the feed store yesterday he said that Rocksprings had recieved 5" and a lot of places were reporting any where from 3-5" total as of yesterday afternoon. Hope we continue to get rain in a timely manner, ground cover for poults and fawns could improve drastically!

Got an e-mail from our lease manager yesterday. He had contacted the landowner and we recieved about 3.5 in over 4 days. This is very good as the rain did not just run off. It went into the ground where it will do the most good. Also Kevin, our place is about half way between Ozona and Barnhart. As the crow flies, we are about 20-25miles southeast of Big Lake, so I am real sure your area recieved a good rain. Let's all pray for more RAIN!!!!!!!!

If you go by the gauge we got 2.3" south of San Angelo since 3/11. BTW Bobby, that Hydromet is a great site. Had never seen it before.
