I am relatively new to the forum and have enjoyed participating in the various venues. However, as I was reviewing the points for various activities. It ocurred to me that maybe we should give more points for original activities, whether videos, pictures, recipes, etc. vs those previously published.

We sort of do this for videos, but not for pictures. Maybe we should give more points for pictures actually taken by the submitter and a lesser number for those obtained elsewhere and submitted. Both categories are good, but I think we should encourage original work more.

For recipes, we only give one point, which may be appropriate if all that was done was to submit a previously published recipe. However, I am interested in the original recipes that our various members (or their families, etc.) have made up, taste tested, and are now passing on to the rest of us. I would suggest that we establish a category for "original wild game recipes" and award 25 points, the same as a picture. (or if we change the picture scheme for original and previously published, maybe use the same scheme for recipes?)
