ANY SUGGESTIONS ON KEEPING DEER OUT OF A HOG TRAP? I HAVE TRIED CHANGING BAIT, MOVING THE TRAP, CHANGING TO A TRAP WITH A SHORTER DOOR, AND SPIKES AT THE TOP OF THE ENTRANCE BY CUTTING THE EDGE WIRE OFF OF A PIECE OF CATTLE PANEL.(THE LAST  HAS DONE A GREAT JOB OF KEEPING CALVES OUT)

i have heard of people putting human hair in them to keep the deer away, but if the trap is close to where  you hunt, its probably not a good idea.

HEART

Build a trap out of calf pannels and leave the top open. Deer jump out but hogs cant, unless you catch a heard then a few will get on top of the others and climb out. sounds far fetched but ive seen it. Calf pannels built in a circle with t-posts and a squeeze thru door. Kinda looks like its in the shape of a heart from the top. Works great.

HAPPY

i heard the same exact thing put some diesel in a spray bottle and spray on the corn and all around the trap keeps the varmits and deer off the corn and the trap and the pigs are drawn to the smell
