Has anyone out there ever hunted with full metal jacket (FMJ) ammunition on deer-sized (or similar) game?  What happened?

You will be alright.  It really dosen't matter.  If you shoot something in the heart or lungs it is not like they are going to stop and repair themselves.  It is all about shot placement.  I have shot deer with some FMJ rounds and they never knew the difference.

Thanks.  Had heard of people shooting game with FMJ rounds at game but never knew if they had problems retrieving them after the shot.

It was, as was all military ammunition.  But, I was curious if anyone had hunted with it...sure not recommending it for hunting purposes though.
