I worked my butt off for this deer! My dad has been elk/deer hunting in colorado for 14 years now and this was my first chance to go since graduating college. We drew deer and cow elk tags this year and although i didnt get an elk i did manage to scrounge up a nice 4x4 buck.


Let me tell you this is the most gratifying deer i have ever shot, never have i worked so hard to get a deer. I must have hiked literally over 15 miles in 2 days, much of it straight uphill and downhill all over a mountain. It was totally worth it, probably the most intense hunting experience i have ever had, something about actually going out in the woods and stalking the deer is so much more gratifying then sitting in a blind.
