On my way back from the photo blind and I just get this feeling that something is staring at me.  I stop and look around and finally see this not 60 yards off the sendero.  I was just able to get my camera up and take this shot.

Seems like we've all been in this situation while hunting as well.  Maybe he wasn't this big...maybe he was even bigger.

Question to everyone out there is, assuming this guy is a shooter in your book, what do YOU do?

(Do you think the grass and brush are thick with the rain we've had or what)

Great G-1's. Great spread. Great color. Decent main beams. (But on your place), the lack of mass tells me he isn't a shooter yet. My thoughts anyway.

And I bet, the look he is giving you... is the same look the mountain lion gives you when you are walking back to your truck! Hehe, my thoughts anyway. Enjoy your walk Hardy!

Beautiful Deer Hardy..  My thoughts given the position and circumstances is DONT SHOOT.  He could be of age but this is how mistakes are made.  I wouldn't take the gamble.  Patience.

I don't know as much about your place as Lamar does but I think I will agree with him.  Great brow tines but I have seen 2 1/2 and 3 1/2 year olds that you have posted with similar mass.  Just a hunch thought.

In your situation there's no way I'd shoot with just what you have showing in that picture.  Good way to wound a great animal.
