BOWHUNTER

hey there i am new to the area and have heard great things about the bow fishing here. I am and avid bowfisher men and have been for years. I grew up on lake superior in michagan and each spring looked forward to bowfishing carp. i lived in north carolina for seve years and became hooked on gar fishing. If any one has some info on area's near fort hood texas for bow fishing or trustwrothy guides please let me know

Rent a boat from the ECOC on Post -(http://www.hoodmwr.com/equipmentcheckout.htm - and go get on Lake Belton or Stillhouse.  those little gray boats are fun and tough.  I did a stint in Killeen (1998 - 2003) and we had some good days up in the Lampassas River and around the dam at Stillhouse and moderate success in Cowhouse Creek on Belton.  I'm sure some things have changed in the "Armpit of Texas" but it'd be worth a shot while the weather's decent.
