Use rubbing alcohal one you legs just before you leave that and put seven dust or sulfer on your pants.  Thats what we have always done.

go get som "chiggerex". I think that is the way it is spelled. Works like nail polish but has a menthol smell to it that they hate. It dries and sufficates them in the little red bump where you put it on. Worls great for me when I get them when rattling in the oak mot areas. Before I go out, I used nonoder bug spray and then put my pant legs in my boots. It helps..... Other than that..... get to scratchin dude! They are a bitch....

Never tried it Lamar.  Always used alcohol or nail polish and scratched alot. 

chigger rid. My son wingdinger is the king of chiggers, and he always has some of it on hand.

You can get it at the drug store. Kills the chiggers and relieves the itch.

Keep yer eyes peeled!

I've used 10% clorox and water mixture.  It works for me, but if you itch prior to using the mix it WILL burn.  The itching goes away though.

Thanks alot guys... I didnt know they sold cream especially for chiggers. Ill check some out before I scratch to the bone!!

Chigger rid works the best for me. However if you are out in the field without, nail polish will work.

Chigger Rid and then a swim in a heavy chlorinated swimming pool/hot tub always seems to work for me.

Another remedy that works (you may laugh at this); but - deodorant.  Take your deodorant stick and rub it over where the chiggers are (after you've gotten attached) - it alleviates the itching.
