This is my first year living in Texas and I need to buy a license.  There are a lot of choices out there and so far I've only come across sporting good store employees who have very little knowledge.  I plan to fish and fully understand the fishing part.  The hunting part is much more complicated.  I plan to bow hunt mainly and go after hogs, with the possibility of a whitetail or two and maybe a few turkeys.  What is the best license for me to purchase?

Just go super combo. I think this is the best since opputunities seem to always arise during the year that are not planned. The super combo allows you to do almost everything you want combined with a fed duck stamp and a migratory game bird stamp, you can hunt everything and fish everything except salt water.

 

I suggest this website for more information on licenses and you can even bbuy them online which is what i do.

Yea the Super combo is probably your best bet because you never know what could happen throughout the next couple of months. It will run you about 65 bucks but its worth it. GOOD LUCK AND WELCOME TO TEXAS!!!

The Super Combo DOES allow you to fish saltwater including everything else.
