Following written by Wes Higgins, US Army Veteran:

Veteran Outdoors is a veteran owned and hosted television show that is currently being promoted to air on several channels targeting the 2nd and 3rd quarters of 2009.  The sole purpose of Veteran Outdoors is to honor our country’s wounded war veterans by surprising them with their once-in-a-lifetime dream adventures while giving them a chance to tell their story along the way.

First and foremost, Veteran Outdoors is a celebration of life and freedom…giving back to those who gave so much.  Veteran Outdoors is a platform for Wounded Warriors to tell their own stories while enjoying the thrill and surprise of taking their once-in-a-lifetime hunt.  Whether it’s enabling a veteran to take their children hunting again or going after a trophy themselves, Veteran Outdoors provides the opportunity to make their dreams a reality!

The viewer is engaged in the adventure as the Wounded Warriors, along with their hosts, pursue the trophy of their dreams.  Throughout the show, the viewers hear the veteran’s stories; not told by politicians, not told by the media, but in the veteran’s own words.  Our Wounded Warriors tell about their lives before joining the military, their service and recovery and our viewers get a glimpse into the real lives of each veteran honored on Veteran Outdoors.  This gripping combination is both emotional and uplifting.

We have an unbelievable 2008 planned to honor our Wounded Warriors with adventures and surprises all over the world. My partner and brother-in-law Cody Hirt has been involved in event coordination, marketing and sales for the past 12 years so we’ve been able to put together several professional sports teams, celebrities and even gotten several politicians on-line to assist with our surprise adventures. Cody currently works in the aviation industry and has several private aircraft ready and willing to take these first class warriors on first class adventures!  We have commitments from ranch owners and outfitters from Texas to Wyoming to Alaska for amazing hunts.

Cody and I have participated in numerous Wounded Warrior hunts over the past couple of years.  The Wounded Warrior Project based out of Brooks Army Medical Center in San Antonio is a national organization that facilitates hunting/fishing excursions, among other services, for veterans who have been wounded physically and/or emotionally.  It was on these adventures, listening to the powerful stories of brave men and women that we realized that everybody needs to hear this!  Their struggles and their stories make me appreciate the life I get to live…and it’s all because of people like them.

The robust market of hunting/fishing shows is evident.  Veteran Outdoors opens up a whole new demographic of viewers, appealing not only to this enormous hunters market, but also to viewers who enjoy patriotic, uplifting shows where they see their fellow man overcome and triumph.  Unlike other reality shows, Veteran Outdoors focuses on those men and the women that have unselfishly served our country with strength and bravery.  The show’s creators spotlight our veteran’s remarkable spirit and in a small way acknowledge the debt of gratitude we all owe.

The Veteran Outdoors experience is more than just a hunting show…it is a story of emotional triumph and a tribute to the modern day HERO!

As well, Veteran Outdoors is more than just a television show…it is a developing brand, lifestyle and platform for these veterans to interact in forums, share ideas and discover new products on our website to assist them in the field. www.veteranoutdoors.com

We’d like to you to consider the benefits of being a sponsor for Veteran Outdoors and have attached info on sponsorship levels and where it will be viewed. If you would like to be a part of this exceptional opportunity to give back to those who have given so much, now is the time to begin securing your participation for this year and next.

Not only does Veteran Outdoors appeal to various audience types, we’ve constructed our Sponsorship Levels in order to accommodate several categories of sponsors.  From $500 to the 5-Star General Title Sponsor, we believe that each level has value.  Our passion for this project puts us in a position to be flexible with a variety of sponsors and terms.  See page two for more detailed info on Corporate Sponsorship levels.

Please let me say thank you for supporting wounded warriors.  Being a member of the military and one who watches your program it is wonderful to see your organization bring joy to Americas Heros.  Your program on television offers alot of hope for the thousands of us who are permanently disabled through our military service.
