Two of my buddies saw a mountain lion yesterday at Pine Forest Golf Club here in Bastrop. I was in the cart behind them a was around the corner and didn't get to see it. Wish I had. It was right in the middle of the cart path. They said it looked at them a few seconds and then trotted off into the brush. I'heard of several sightings out there. Pretty cool...

Those lions will range for miles along riverbank cover.  Looks like that golf course is right along the east bank of Colorado River, so that's not all that surprising.  We've seen them along the Brazos west of Fort Worth.

That is correct. Course is right on the river. My father-in-law saw one a few years ago in almost the same spot.
