I'm about an hour Northeast of Dallas.

Yeah them hogs love the smell of corn and deisel.  Now I haven't tried it but I heard that blue raspberry jello also works really well.

Red raspberry jello is what works.......not blue.  They like the sweet smell and come lookin' for it.  I used it tied in panty hose and hung it up in a tree about 8-10'.  This helped get the scent disperse further from the wind current.   We've also used sour corn that was mixed w/ diesel fuel.  You can also make a rub w/ the black convoluted pipe normally used for drains.  All you do is tie it up in a tree and let it hang down and run along the ground a couple yards.  Then pour diesel fuel all over it.  They really like that too.
