Thats awsome!  I never understood my dad when he would say it was just as exciting for him when I shot the deer as him shooting it himself.  Until I tool my fiance hunting and when she shot her first buck i think that i had more buck fever than she did.  So the short of it is i know what you mean by a good day for you.  Contrats!

I know exactly how you felt.  I began by just taking my son with me on hunts when he was barely old enough.  After a couple of years, his older sister asked me why I never took her???  When I did, she was so excited about hunting, it was like a whole new sport for me too!!!  Needless to say, when my youngest daughter got old enough to go along, she didn't have to ask that same question.  I asked her first!!!  Now, I have three of the best Huntin' Buddies a Dad could ever ask for.
