TexasHuntFish.com was invited to attend the Texas Parks & Wildlife / TWA Youth Hunt at the Faulkner Ranch in Hunt, Texas several weeks ago.  Rose Bowl Champion Longhorn Brett Valdez posed for photos with the kids (and adults!), offered hunting advice and acted as an honorary hunt master for two of the young hunters.

I can't wait to hear the story - looks like you guys had a great time. I would love to hear the story from one of the kid's perspectives.

We all had an awesome time.  15 youth hunters and 60 total for the weekend.  We had principals, counselors, ag. teachers, risk mgt., plant operators, directors, asst. principals,  parents, guides, and some longhorn guy that ate us out of groceries.  All hunters were first timers and they harvested 24 deer.  Thanks to everyone, especially Mr. & Mrs. Royce Faulkner and Jesse, Ben & Shane for making it possible.  Also a special thanks to Brett Valdez for taking the time to be with us.
