Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation Dime Box Banquet 2008
The Lee County Bull Busters Chapter throws the largest net to gross banquet in the nation!! For the past 2 years, about 92% of all the funds raised at the Dime Box banquet go directly back "in the dirt, on the ground" (as Mr. Gookins puts it) for wildlife conservation. The Lee County banquet has won several awards in the past few years for their incredible accomplishments. Great job to everyone involved!
Coastal Conservation Association (CCA) Austin Chapter Annual Banquet 2008
The CCA Austin Chapter Annual Banquet was held on May 15, 2008 at the Palmer Events Center. As promised, it was a big event with many auction and raffle items, and what seemed a sea of people (I crack myself up.) There were two big raffle prizes: a 2008 18’ Shallow Sport Sprint boat, motor and trailer; and a tricked out 1985 K-5 Chevy Blazer with Surf Rig.
