Arlington -

2010 Texas Fishing Hunting and outdoors Show

The best family friendly opportunity in the Southwest to explore and experience the great outdoors is the new and improved 14th Annual Texas Fishing, Hunting and Outdoors Show, January 7-10, at the Arlington Convention Center. More than 100 pros and experts present seminars on two stages. Any sportsman can pick up great tips and tactics watching one of the 60 fishing demonstrations at the 6,000 gallon tank.

For the youngest show guests, the Kids Cove Powered by Radio Disney includes a catfish tank where future anglers learn how to catch a fish. Radio Disney will be onsite throughout the show with fun games and more special activities for children. Special performers at the stage will keep even the littlest one entertained.

Tom Dokken, author and noted trainer of companion and hunting dogs, will demonstrate his successful techniques.

For the novice and experienced alike, the "interactive hunting habitat" created by members of the Texins Archery Club will be a great meeting place for demonstrations plus an opportunity to try out and shoot a variety of bows.

Always a popular feature, the Raptor Project returns with their collection of eagles, hawks, falcons and owls to be seen "up close and personal."

New this year is the Texas Sportsmen’s Rally being held Saturday, Jan. 9, 2010, at 8:30 a.m. on the grounds of the Arlington Convention Center.  Parking and attendance to the Rally is free. All rally participants also receive 50% off regular admission to the Texas Fishing, Hunting, and Outdoors Show until noon on Saturday. Texas ranks #1 in the nation with 2.6 million active, resident sportsmen. The rights of all outdoorsmen across the nation are now threatened unlike at any previous time in the history of our great country. The Texas Sportsmen's Rally is an opportunity for to join others to learn more about efforts that might negatively affect rights to enjoy fishing, hunting and other outdoor sports.
