Gate entry fee: Friday $10; Saturday $12; Sunday $10 or best deal is the 3 day pass $20.  Children under 12 are free.

Over the past 10 years, this community and family oriented Green Living Fair has grown to be the largest “green show” in the South. It occurs at the end of September, every year, in historic Fredericksburg, Texas.  You can see the latest in eco-friendly technologies. Learn how to save and create your own energy.  Attend informative talks by the experts.  Visit with our vendors to see contemporary green living and sustainability practices. Come test drive the next generation in personal transportation. It’s fun, environmentally friendly, and a great place to learn how you can make a difference!

• Please bring your own refillable water bottle or buy a lovely Roundup stainless steel water bottle for $10! We have learned that 150,000 barrels of oil a year are used to make over 189 million bottles in the U.S. alone, only 23% of which make it to the recycler. Good conscience prevents us from continuing to support this cavalier use of bottled water. Instead we are happily giving away water! Thanks to Pure Quality Water for providing the set up.

Friday, 5-6 pm
Featuring Toby Hemenway, author of Gaia’s Garden: A guide to Home-Scale Permaculture.  Toby’s book (for the past 6 years) has been the world’s best-selling book on permaculture, a design approach based on ecology for creating sustainable landscapes, homes, communities, and workplaces.

Saturday, 1-2 pm:
Featuring Karl Rabago, Vice President, Distributed Energy Services Austin Energy: Karl brings more than 15 years experience in guiding electricity policy and regulation, emerging energy markets development and implementation of sustainability principles across a wide range of markets and sectors.

Sunday, Noon-1 pm
Bob Dixson, Mayor of Greensburg Kansas.   Presenting ‘Pioneers of the 21st Centruy’.  Bob Dixson is a native Kansan, born and raised in NW Kansas and has been a resident of Greensburg since 1985.  Dixson took office as Mayor of Greensburg in May 2008. Greensburg, KS is in the process of rebuilding after May 4, 2007 tornado. Building back sustainable and “green” are the cornerstones of the recovery.

NEW THIS YEAR, GREEN JOB TRAINING!  ImagineSolar from Austin, Texas will be conducting another great PV System Design and Installation Workshop:

Monday, September 21st through Thursday, September 24th, 8am - 6pm; then Friday, September 25th, 8am to Noon; followed by the optional NABCEP Entry Level Certificate of Knowledge Exam Friday afternoon, 1pm - 3pm.

Pet Policy
The Market Square is City of Fredericksburg property. Pets are not allowed on the Roundup (Market Square) grounds unless they are aides to the impaired. Owners of such personal assistance animals are responsible for controlling their animal, cleaning up after it, and for the safety of others in attendance. Please make arrangements for the care of your pets before leaving home, then come on out to the Fair.
